Hyundai Ioniq 6
Hyundai made waves when it announced the radical design of its upcoming Ioniq 6 EV sedan. This swept-back aerodynamic EV draws inspiration from classic cars of the 1930s for a unique look. While cameras have captured camouflaged prototypes, the final production version arriving in 2023 should closely match the stunning concept.
The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 will deliver an estimated 300 miles of range, using the same E-GMP platform and battery pack as the smaller Ioniq 5. 800V fast charging will be supported, with speeds likely reaching 350 kW by 2024. This allows for incredibly fast charge times.
Hyundai has confirmed the Ioniq 6 will be offered with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Expect strong performance from the available dual-motor AWD models. The interior will also showcase sustainable and recycled materials in an avant-garde style.
The Ioniq 6 will slot in above the Ioniq 5 as a more premium offering. Pricing around $55,000 would undercut many competitors and make it an appealing EV with head-turning looks.
